Down at the marina everything looked all set for a pleasant evening. Temperature was a little on the cool side but these birdies seemed happy enough.

The team however, looked increasingly apprehensive as embarkation time approached

Aha! Boat located. "RB's Lady" was being prepped for the cruise

image

As boarding commenced, the birds became skittish and began moving away from the quay. Likely they had probably been on a previous cruise and were anxious not to repeat the experience

Once underway with a couple of glasses of wine all around, everyone relaxed a little

image

Unfortunately, at about 10 mph it actually felt extremely cold - imagine wine tasting on a moving flat-bed truck and you begin to get the picture

image

From Dave's expression dinner must have arrived. The windborne rice and mixed vegetable were one of the more memorable moments of the evening albeit short lived as the entire offering cooled and congealed in a minute or so

image

Meanwhile, the sun was setting and it was probably the effort of putting on this show that fried the boat's generator. Anyway, with no more electricity the lights went out and dessert was postponed until we got back to land. What an ingenious piece of theater!

The ship's mascot, a growth ridden little mutt - probably the result of eating too many table scraps, seemed ready to have at the Bud Lights if these hapless sailors let their guard down

Not all was lost however. This nifty forklift truck was constantly busy putting boats in and out of the water revealing how hundreds of vessels can be accommodated in relatively little dock space
