Cartagena in the morning sun

The hill in the background is a park and interpretation center for an old castle. Interpretation centers seem to be cop outs for poorly understood historical events. Simply make up a story and sell it as an interpretation. Rats!

This erotic little vessel is, or would have been, a nineteenth century submarine. Built and tested in 1885 it was never registered and therefore does not officially exist. Cartagena today, is a significant Spanish naval port

We encountered variants of these huge Ficus trees in several places. With massive boughs and some aerial roots, they are quite distinctive
